HAPPY LITTLE KIDNEYS!
We have donated to a worthy cause- Happy Little Kidneys!
Happy Little Kidneys is an organization dedicated to working towards happier hospital stays for kids. It was started by 12 year old Anna French is 2018. She spent her 2017 Christmas in the hospital after a sudden diagnosis of Lupus Nephritis.
This is from Anna:
In 2017 I was hospitalized and diagnosed with Lupus Nephris. In 2022 I gat a Ewing's Sarcoma diagnosis and was in and out of the hospital for a year. This year I had a Kidney transplant. Oof. That's a lot of time in the hospital. 137 days to be exact! The two things that helped the most were therapy dogs and making my hospital room as cozy as possible. I always brought lights, a diffuser, decorations, blankets, pillows and all my stuffed animals.
Now I make Christmas Kits for other kids stuck in the hospital. Each kit has a 3 foot tree, lights, ornaments, a book, the snuggliest stuffed animals and other little goodies.
Please help me reach my goal by liking and sharing my posts.

We held our first FamilyandFriendsFUNdraising poker tournament in August. Gian Montasini was a gracious host to 17 average and below average poker players. The Smiley Project Poker Tournament exceeded all expectations. A huge thanks to Gian for hosting and putting in a lot of time and work to make sure the event was lined up for success. Most of us were surprised when Perry showed up. He looked great! The set up was 60% of the buy-in went to the foundation and 40% went to the winners. We had 17 players that generated $1,200 for the foundation. But as it turned out- the winners also donated their winnings and the event ended up bringing in $1,740. It was an awesome night! Thanks again Gian!
WOW! To say our first FUNdraising event was a success is an understatement! A HUGE thank you to all who joined us for an incredible evening. We are truly humbled by the generosity of all who supported this project. We can't express enough how proud we all are to be involved with this organization. We have an amazing group of volunteers who make this happen! THANK YOU again!
